Black Mountain Weeding Work Party

Thank you to the wonderful team that removed hundreds of woody weeds at our last work party. Our next weeding work party is planning to remove more weeds from the grassland and woodland areas in the southwest part of the reserve, on Saturday 5 March 2022.  This weekend is also Clean-Up Australia weekend so we shall be collecting some rubbish on our way, too.

Date: Saturday, 5 March 2022, 8:30am to 11:30am.  

Meet:  Caswell Drive entry on the mountain side.
Drive from Belconnen Way southwards along Caswell Drive towards Glenloch Interchange, Woden, or Tuggeranong. Note the yellow diamond shape advisory sign showing access road on left (mountain side) and the blue and white “P” sign for parking. Pull into the carpark carefully.
Look for banners.

Bring:  Do you have a mattock? If so, could you put your name on it and bring it along, too, please? Maybe bring a rubbish bag, too.

Wear:  hat, sunscreen, long-sleeved shirt, long pants, gloves, stout shoes.

We shall break for delicious morning tea at about 10am.
