The Aboriginal Plant Use Trail, funded by the Friends, will be launched by Aunty Agnes, Ngunnawal elder, on January 21st 2016 at 10:30 am.

The Aboriginal Plant Use Trail is a self-guided walk that highlights a selection of plants used by Aboriginal people in different parts of Australia. The official opening of the trail is not until the 21st January 2016, but most of the interpretive panels are in place already. Brochures, which include a map, are available from the Visitor Centre and can be viewed here.

The Friends of the ANBG, through the Public Fund, have paid for:

  • 27 interpretive panels, including posts and installation
  • Graphic design of the panels and brochure/map

The total financial contribution of the Friends is approximately $13000.
