Walk with the Ants on Black Mountain

This is an activity of the Friends of Black Mountain in conjunction with the exhibition Black Mountain Nature Reserve - A Special Place which is in the Visitor Centre Gallery at the ANBG from 17 February to 15 March. 

Black Mountain Nature Reserve has more species of ant than the whole of Great Britain. Join expert Ajay Narendra, Macquarie University, to learn more about these predators and scavengers, and hear about their amazing navigation skills.

Meet: Belconnen Way entry to Black Mountain (see balloons). Generally easy walk with some steep sections. Followed by light refreshments.

Ant T-shirts designed by renowned Swiss illustrator Ladina Ribi will be on sale for $30 each. The Ants of Canberra leaflet available for $1. 

Cost: Gold coin donation to Friends of Black Mountain
