The Friends Photographic Group encourages you to come and view their special exhibition “Recovery” being held in the Visitors Centre at the ANBG. This year there are several different categories with awards presented to the winners of each category as well as other awards. The Award winners will be on display and for sale to the public.

Framed works and unframed prints are for sale. Unique gifts of cards, calendars, photo bags and more are on display. A percentage of sales go to the Friends for use in projects in the Gardens.

Check out the 2022 Calendar that is available in the bookshop. All images were produced by the Photographic Group. Come along and see our beautiful natural environment through the camera lens in print and on screen with revolving images of plants, birds and animals in the ANBG.

The exhibition supports and raises awareness of the aims and values of the Australian National Botanic Gardens and showcases the Gardens’ wide-ranging diversity of flora and fauna through the medium of photographs. This year has broadened the scope of topics to include areas outside the Gardens due to restrictions on the opening of the Gardens.

If you would like more information on the Photographic Group, please email us at We encourage potential speakers and new members and look forward to hearing from you.
