Another year of excellent photos, submitted by students for the 19th Annual Schools Photographic Competition. Award winners eagerly gathered in the ANBG Theatrette to collect their prizes on Saturday 17 October 2015. Entries were on display in the Visitor Centre until Sunday 8 November 2015.

The competition is run for students from ACT and Queanbeyan high schools and colleges. All photos must be taken in the Australian National Botanic Gardens and feature some aspect of the Gardens. Photos must fall into one of the following categories: black and white, colour or images altered digitally.

Ken Crawford, the judge, congratulated the prize winners and all entrants and gave useful advice about ways to improve an already high standard of photography.

The Friends would like to thank all the schools and colleges that participated in the Competition; ANBG staff and Friends of the Gardens who helped with the Competition; and especially to Ken Crawford for judging the Competition.
