Prizewinners in the Friends' annual Student Photograhic Competition not only win prizes and awards for themselves, but also for their school. The prizes include an Australian native plant propagated by the Growing Friends from the Living Collection at the Gardens.

Emily and Hannah, from Weetangera Primary School, won prizes in the 2024 competition. Here we see them planting their tree in the school's bushland garden with Maurice Hermann, Convenor of the Growing Friends.
