Thursday Talks are back!

You are here

Thursday Talks recommenced in February 2021, with new arrangements in line with ACT COVID-19 restrictions.

The first 2021 talk took place on 18 February 2021 in the Telstra Tower Theatrette, with Dr Karen Ford & Dr Kara Youngentob speaking about monitoring resident and rehabilitated koalas in the Monaro region to guide decisions about the management and conservation of koalas after fire.

The COVID-19 guidelines for Thursday Talks include restrictions on the number of people in the ANBG Theatrette (where the talks will be usually held). Bookings are essential to secure a seat, but all tickets are free.

A special booking link will be provided for each week’s talk - see the Calendar for the full listing. Bookings will open the Friday morning before the talk, and close on the Wednesday night before the talk, or when all seats available have been filled. Numbers are limited, so please book as early as you can, as “first in will be best dressed”.

(ANBG and the Friends are exploring the possibility that talks may be made available online in the future).
