COMPETITION INFORMATION
This
competition is held during the latter part of each year. The competition is restricted to Years 7 to 12 students attending,
at the time of the competition, a High School or Secondary College within
the ACT and Queanbeyan Region, and all photographs must be taken within the Australian
National Botanic Gardens, featuring some aspect such as plants, wildlife, scenery, people
enjoying the Gardens.
An Information Package containing
details of the competition and entry forms is forwarded to A.C.T. and Queanbeyan High Schools and Colleges during
May/June. When changes are made to the competition rules or categories, they are advised in the Information Package for that particular year.
The competition provides an excellent
opportunity for students to become aware of the value and beauty of
the Australian National Botanic Gardens, which are devoted to our native
plants, and, by exercising their photographic skills, to share that
beauty with others.
