Association of Friends of Botanic Gardens - website updated

You are here

The Australian Association of Friends of Botanic Gardens (AAFBG) is a not-for-profit incorporated association. It involves the community and supports the growth of Friends groups interested in the well-being and public appreciation of botanic gardens through their conservation and development, scientific, educational, historical, cultural and recreational functions. Members represent a range of botanic gardens and parks in regional and metropolitan areas throughout Australia. Friends groups located in botanic gardens overseas are welcome to be affiliate members.

The Friends of the ANBG is a member, along with over 50 other Australian Friends groups. Four overseas groups are affiliate members. Several of our members have key roles within the AAFBG:

  • Dennis Ayliffe is President
  • Warwick Wright is Immediate Past  President
  • Anne Rawson is editor of Eucalypt, the journal of the AAFBG

The Association has recently updated its website. The journal Eucalypt (formerly named Campsis) is published online twice a year. It promotes and provides news on members' ideas, innovations, challenges, events, and successes or failures.
