Monday, 7 December 2015 - 10:30am

Biodiversity can be measured by more than just a count of the number of species in a given area. Genetic information along with community data allows for interesting ways to explore biodiversity at many scales.  Our national collections contain a mass of historical information that may inform us about biodiversity hotspots, past and present.

This talk will cover different ways of looking at biodiversity data using current visualisation technologies, taking some iconic Australian plant families as examples.

Nunzio Knerr is a permanent Staff Member at Bioinformatics, Centre for Australian National Biodiversity Research, Canberra. Venue: Theatrette at the ANBG.
