Dr Karen Viggers, 'Science + Fiction does not = Science Fiction'

Dr Karen Viggers is a best-selling author and veterinarian with a PhD in wildlife health. She is passionate about Australian landscapes, and has studied many native animals around Australia, including seals and penguins in Antarctica. She will speak about using fiction to bring readers closer to wild places and inform them of the facts behind contentious environmental issues. Her books include The Lightkeepers Wife, The Grass Castle, and The Stranding.
