David Taylor ‘Talk and Walk about the New Asteraceae Garden of Daisies’

You are here

Thursday, 9 October 2014 - 12:30pm to 1:30pm

David and project colleagues will talk about the design, planning and interpretation of the Asteraceae story in the ANBG Theatrette. Then a walk to the site where we will hear about the construction, seed collection, propagation and planting of these famous daises in special soils for extended flowering throughout the year. This new garden will tell the history and use of the Asteraceae Family. These plants are renowned for their massed displays, blooming as carpets in both arid zones and alpine herb fields. There are many different forms, including tiny salt pan ephemerals through to large shrubs and trees.

David Taylor is Curator of Living Collections at the ANBG.
