Rainer Rehwinkel ‘Linking Landscapes’

Rainer will talk about the work of Kosciuszko to the Coast (K2C), and a number of projects that K2C is rolling out, including on Black Cockatoos and small bush birds.

Rainer Rehwinkel is a Senior Threatened Species Officer at the NSW Office of Environment and Heritage.  Here he works on the conservation of grassy ecosystems (grasslands and grassy woodlands and their plants and animals).  He is also currently the Chair of K2C, a partnership of Government and non-government agencies working together to connect and conserve and recover our grasslands, woodlands, riparian and wetland areas, small bush birds, arboreal mammals and treasured forest communities and species. K2C is a regional partner in the Great Eastern Ranges initiative.  Rainer is also a co-author of Grassland Flora – a field guide for the Southern Tablelands
