Black Mountain Weeding Work Party 6 March 2021

You are here

Saturday, 6 March 2021 - 8:30am to 11:30am

Our last couple of weeding work parties removed almost 2000 woody and other weeds from a couple of sections of the Australian National Botanic Gardens, and about a thousand Saffron Thistles from the Powerline road on Black Mountain.

Next weeding work party will be in the south eastern area of Black Mountain … and the details are:

Date: Saturday, 6 March, 8:30am to 11:30am.

Meet: bottom row of ANBG Southern Carpark. Come through the main gates, turn left very soon after, and park in this bottom row. Look for banners.

Bring:  Water, Friends … Everyone is welcome

Wear:  hat, sunscreen, long-sleeved shirt, long pants, gloves, stout shoes.

We shall break for delicious morning tea at about 10:00am.

Please book: if you are planning to come, please email your name and phone number to friendsofblackmountain@gmail.com or phone 0437 298 711.  This complies with COVID-19 requirements, helps us to cater, and to let you know if arrangements need to change at the last minute (for example, adverse weather conditions).

Please note the weather; the work party will be cancelled early in that morning if there is inclement weather

If you need further information, please contact me by email or phone 0437 298 711.
We look forward to hearing from you, and seeing you at our next weeding work party.

Happy weeding,

Linda Beveridge
Convenor, Friends of Black Mountain
