The Botanic Art Group's 17th Exhibition – 'Bush Fragrance' – is on display at the Visitor Centre from 6 April to 5 May 2024, displaying artworks of native plants with an aroma or essence.
Many native flora are used for products such as flower essences, perfumes, and medicinal and cleaning products. On a personal level many people notice that familiar fragrances can evoke powerful memories. The exhibition this year highlights some of these plants in a variety of media including watercolours, acrylics, coloured pencil, pen and ink, mixed media and etchings.
As well as the framed works, there are also some unframed works, and a selection of greeting cards by the members of the Group. There is also a work to be won by the lucky winner of a raffle.
