Registration and event prices

  • Up to and including 15 July, the ‘early bird’ registration fee is $385.
  • After 15 July, the regular registration fee will be $435.

Registration closes on 31 August 2017.

Your registration fee includes all talks and discussion sessions, day tours at the Australian National Botanic Gardens, parallel sessions, visits to cultural institutions, out and about tours, lunches, morning teas and afternoon refreshments and the Welcome Drinks function. There are no additional credit card fees. We can only accept Visa and Mastercard credit cards.

Extra events

Either when you register or later until 31st August, you can book tickets for our optional events:

The ticket prices are added to the conference registration fee.

Companions

If you wish to bring a companion to the conference dinner or on the post-conference tour, you can purchase an extra ticket for these functions by contacting guideconference@friendsanbg.org.au by 31 August. You can also bring a companion on the post conference bushland nature walk, for which there is no charge. Unfortunately we cannot cater for companions at other conference activities.

About your registration

Confirmation

When your registration is completed, you will be given a ‘Booking Number’, and an email will be sent to you confirming your registration. Your tax invoice/receipt will be attached to the email.

Your credit card statement will show that the registration fee has been paid to Conference Online.

Changing your registration

You can use your ‘Booking Number’ and password to log in to the conference registration website.

If you decide to buy tickets for extra events after you have first registered, you will be charged separately for this.

Optional extras can be cancelled, in accordance with the cancellation policy (see Cancellations below). However, if you wish to cancel your ticket for the night walk, you should cancel it online, no administrative fee will be charged, and your refund of the $12 will be available when you check in at the conference. No refund will be given for the night walk if you cancel after 30 September.

Nearly all the tours included in your registration have limited numbers. If you want to change any of your preferences for the tours and events included in your registration, check first that places are still available in the tour you want to join.

Cancellations

If you need to cancel your conference registration, these refund limits and cancellation fees will apply:

  • Cancellation before 1 September– 80% of fees paid, less an administrative charge of $27.50, will be refunded.
  • Cancellation between 1 September and 30 September inclusive – 40% of fees paid, less an administrative charge of $27.50, will be refunded.
  • Cancellation after 30 September – no refund will be given.

Travel insurance

Conference attendees are advised to arrange travel insurance. The Friends of the ANBG hold no responsibility for the cancellation of accommodation, flight bookings, car rental or other arrangements.

Before you start filling in the registration form

When you register, you will be asked to choose which walks and tours you want to join. All the detailed information about these options is contained in this conference website. The registration form itself simply asks you which ones you want.

Be sure to check the information on this website and make a note of your preferences before you open the registration form.

At the start of the registration process, you enter your name and email address, and create a password so you can log in later to check or make changes to your registration. Make a note of this password.
