If you like wearing white rubber gloves, pruning plant cuttings, playing in vermiculite, watering, weeding or labelling, then come to Growing Friends.

There is no cost but you must be a member of the Friends.

It's not all hands-on. There are interesting talks ....

... and sometimes slides on the plants to be propagated. A brief meeting beforehand organises the watering roster for the month and discusses other relevant topics.

So join us! The group of volunteers is made up of interesting, knowledgeable and friendly people. There's an opportunity to chat or work silently, and there is also a working bee each month to pot cuttings, and other tasks.

You'll find us in the Joseph Banks Building on the first Saturday of every month from 9.00 am until 12 noon (9.30 am start during winter).
