Walk and Talk to the Top of Black Mountain

This is an activity of the Friends of Black Mountain in conjunction with the exhibition Black Mountain Nature Reserve - A Special Place which is in the Visitor Centre Gallery at the ANBG from 17 February to 15 March. 

Meet at the Visitor Centre, Australian National Botanic Gardens and walk to the summit of Black Mountain in Canberra Nature Park with local botanist Dr Rosemary Purdie and an ANBG Ranger. Come back the same way, or take extra time to return by a different path. The Summit Walk has steep sections, so it is suitable for fit walkers only (including children over the age of 12). Please note that the walk will start promptly at 9.00am, but the 12.00 noon finishing time is approximate.

Cost: Gold coin donation to Friends of Black Mountain                       

Bookings essential: Places are limited, please email your name and phone number to friendsofblackmountain@gmail.com, or phone Linda (0437 298 711) so that you can be contacted in case arrangements need to change (e.g. adverse weather).

Bring: Friends, water, snacks, sturdy shoes, hat, sun cream.
