A one-day driving tour, guided by Rosemary Purdie, to the Brindabella Mountains to see how plants there have recovered after the fires. We'll stop en route at the lower Cotter catchment, Picadilly Circus area, Bulls Head and Mount Franklin to look at vegetation communities including Alpine Ash, Snow Gum forest and Snow Gum woodland.

We will car-pool for the day, meeting at 9.00 am and returning by 5.00pm  There are new arrangements for where to meet at the start of the tour. Those who have booked have been or will be contacted by phone and/or email. Phone Alan Munns on 6249 1154 or 0411 289 650 if necessary.

The drive is around 75 km each way, half of that on bitumen, the rest on reasonable quality unsealed roads.

You will need to bring your own food and drink, hat and walking shoes. Come prepared for cold weather, even if it is sunny in Canberra.
