Art in the Gardens with Friends 2014

You are here

The popular Art in the Gardens with Friends botanical art exhibition is back for its seventh year at the Australian National Botanic Gardens. From 22 March to 21 April, visitors can explore a collection of botanical paintings and drawings. For the first time, this year’s exhibition includes fired ceramic wall pieces.

The exhibition opening was on 21 March. While viewing the exhibition, invited guests enjoyed food and wine and were entertained by musical group The Shenanigans. Guest speaker was botanical artist Sharon Field who, in a wide-ranging and entertaining talk, urged botanical artists to push the boundaries of their discipline and aim for the wow factor in their work – and noted that artists represented in this exhibition do just that.

The exhibition has been very positively reviewed.
